In the series Granddad Dog runs the garage, and this is his tow truck: a yellow truck with a beacon on the roof, an open load bed and a grey arm with a hook. The Granddad Dog figure himself, in his red cap and turquoise jumper, is included.
The truck has a pull-back motor: pull it backwards, let go, and off it drives. The roof tilts open so small hands can get the figure in and out of the cab easily, and the arm goes up and down so a child can hook other toy cars onto it. That last part is where the game usually ends up - a car that breaks down and has to be towed in.
The figure is about 7.5 cm tall and on the same scale as the other Peppa Pig figures, so Peppa and George are welcome to ride along. The tow truck is made of plastic and needs no batteries.
A set that goes down well with pre-schoolers who like vehicles and follow Peppa Pig, and that fits alongside the other Peppa vehicles.
