A baby walker in wood, built as a friendly robot: a round head with a blue face and moving eyes, two little arms at the sides and four wheels with a rubber tread. On top sits a push bar with round knobs, at the height where a child pulls itself up and takes its first steps.
The entire front panel is a toy. It carries bead spirals on wire, turning cogs, a mirror, rotary knobs and a sliding bolt with nuts. On the side there is a shape sorter with loose blocks: a yellow cube, a blue-grey cylinder, an orange triangle and a wooden half-round block to push through the matching opening.
The push bar adjusts in height, so the walker grows along. The whole thing is built from MDF and plywood and measures roughly 30.7 × 35.5 × 47.9 cm. If your child would rather stay seated, the play panel works just as well with the walker standing still - which makes it useful before and after the walking phase.
A sturdy present for a first birthday, and one of those pieces that stays in the play corner for a while after the walking is learned, because the panel gives plenty to do on its own.
