This train from the Little People range runs on wheels and is pushed along. At the back is an open wagon for five animal figures to ride in; the tailgate opens so they slide out, and they can also go in and out through the window.
Press the buttons on the engine or the chimney, which lights up, and the train sings, talks and makes sounds - more than fifty songs, sounds, tunes and phrases according to the box. The globe button picks the language: Dutch, French, German, Italian or English.
There are three Smart Stages levels that grow with the child: the alphabet, counting, colours, shapes, opposites and animal sounds. Meanwhile the pushing itself and the loading and unloading of the animals exercise fine motor skills.
The box carries the age marking 1+; Mattel gives the train for 1 to 5 years. A present for a first or second birthday that lasts a few years, and that can play in two languages in a Belgian household.
