Forty-two coloured blocks lie in a flat wooden tray. Together they form a scene: a red-and-white rocket with a yellow flame beneath it, planets with a ring around them, a crescent moon, clouds and a rainbow.
There are two ways to play. Inside the tray it is a puzzle: lines on the bottom give away where each piece belongs, so your child can solve it alone. Outside the tray they are simply blocks — to stack, to sort by colour, or to build something quite different from the picture on the box.
The pieces are thick enough to stay upright when they are set on top of one another. Forty-two is a lot for a puzzle this size, so it takes a while before the tray is full again.
