The Edge longboard has the classic pintail shape: long and narrow, with a rounded nose and a tapering tail. The deck measures 99.1 by 25.4 cm and is made of seven plies of Chinese maple. On top lies black griptape with a pale stripe down its length and the Edge logo in the same colour.
The wheels measure 70 by 51 mm, are printed, and run on ABEC-11 bearings. Wheels this size roll over cobbles, joints and kerbs instead of sticking in them, which for a cruiser is the whole point.
A board of this length rides more calmly than a short skateboard: you stand wider apart, it carries further on one push and it asks less of anyone just starting out cruising. For the ride to school or laps around the neighbourhood, that is exactly what it was built for.
The deck carries Edge as the brand; Braet distributes it in Belgium. The board arrives complete, with the trucks and wheels already mounted.
