A bypass is a detour in your filter circuit. Open the three-way valve towards the solar collector and the water runs through it and warms up. Turn the valve and the water goes straight past while the pump carries on filtering as usual. So nothing has to come apart when the sun stays away for a week.
The set contains the bypass valve, a T-piece with a pressure gauge, connectors for 32 and 38 mm, a flexible hose of 180 cm in 38 mm, stainless steel hose clamps and Teflon tape for the threads.
The gauge shows you what the pressure in the circuit is doing. Connectors in two sizes make the set usable on the hose diameters most often found on above-ground pools, 32 and 38 mm.
Meant for anyone with a solar collector or another inline pool heater who wants to be able to keep it out of the circuit in spring and autumn.
