The Wanda from Kokido is for anyone looking after a spa or a small pool. You push the suction head across the floor and loose dirt disappears into the chamber behind it. No pipework, no pump and no complicated assembly are involved.
The unit runs on 8 AA batteries, which are not in the box. The suction is gentle: meant for sand, leaves, fine grit and other loose dirt, not as a substitute for a pool robot in a large basin. Behind the suction head sits a clear chamber with a stainless steel filter, so you can see from the outside when it is filling up; you take the filter out and rinse it empty under the tap.
A telescopic pole of about 1.9 metres and a brush attachment come with the unit. The pole clicks into the handle, after which you reach the floor and the corners of an above-ground pool without stepping into the water yourself. The whole thing is finished in brown.
Handy between two bigger clean-ups: the floor around the steps, a corner where leaves settle, or the sand that has ended up in the water after a day of playing.
