One strip, three readings. You dip it in the water, take it out without shaking it off and wait for the pads to change colour; then you hold them against the colour chart on the packaging to read free chlorine, pH and total alkalinity.
That saves the whole ritual with reagent bottles and a test tube: nothing to measure out, nothing to dose, nothing to rinse. A bottle holds 50 strips, so at two readings a week it carries you through a full swimming season.
The label gives the three readings in eight languages, Dutch among them, and the colour chart is printed on the bottle itself. At the edge of the pool you need nothing beyond the bottle.
