A delta is the most forgiving kite shape there is. It lifts in no more than a moderate breeze, then sits calmly in the air, and it asks nothing of you in the way of steering, because only one line runs back down. At the coast almost every day is a kite day; over an open field it works just as well.
The sail measures 110 by 53 cm and is divided into coloured panels, so you can still pick it out high in the sky. The kite comes in a long sleeve with the line on a winder, and goes back flat into that same sleeve afterwards.
