EXPLORER 2.7 (NC) KITE 150*180

Didak builds the Explorer as a flowform. That is a soft kite without a frame: there are no spars or rods in it, and the shape comes from the kite filling with air through the openings at the front. After flying you simply fold the sail up, with nothing to dismantle.

The number in the model name stands for the area. The 2.7 is a sail of 2.7 square metres, listed in the trade as 150 by 180 cm, made up in blue and white panels with the Explorer logo on the fabric. The fan of lines you see in the photo is the bridle, where the flying line attaches.

The Explorer is the heavier end of the Didak range. Among kite flyers the model is known as a lifter and it is used for kite aerial photography among other things, with the pull of the sail doing the work.

The range runs to two sizes, the 2.7 and the larger 4.8 of 200 by 240 cm. Didak is a Belgian kite maker and lists this article under number 21711627.
