This is the small kite handle from the Didak range: an oval grip in black plastic with a notch for your thumb, and a flared end on each side between which the line is wound. The handle is supplied with white line already wound around it.
In use you hold the grip in one hand and let the line out as the kite climbs. To bring it back in, you turn the line with your other hand between the two ends. There is no crank, brake or mechanism on it - it is the simplest type of winding system there is.
You receive the handle with the line on it, without a kite. Handy as a replacement, or as a second handle so you don't have to untangle what you wound up last time first.
A small part from the Vliegers & Kites range, meant to be kept loose in the beach bag alongside your single-line kite.
