This wind spinner from the Didak Beach range is shaped like a duck: a flat silhouette of polyester fabric in blue and purple, with a green head and a yellow bill. In the middle of the body sits a black hub carrying four teardrop-shaped vanes in blue, pink, purple and black.
As soon as the wind picks up the vanes spin round and the duck looks as if it is flapping its wings. It turns in wind force 1 to 4, and the whole thing stands on a thin rod that you push into the ground, into a planter or into the sand.
The article measures 60 x 75 cm. The fabric is polyester; the frame and the rod are fibreglass. There is nothing to assemble beyond standing the rod in the ground.
Colour and movement for a border, a patio, a balcony or a spot by the sea - and a nice present for someone with a garden or an allotment.
