This tractor from the Italian maker Adriatic is modelled on the New Holland and measures 40 by 20 cm. On the front is a loader arm with a bucket that lifts and tips, so a child can scoop up sand or blocks with it, drive off and dump the load somewhere else.
More moves than just that arm. The bonnet flips open, the cab door opens and closes, and the steering wheel turns with the wheels. The front wheels are rubber and steer, so the tractor goes where you point it instead of only straight ahead.
At this size it works equally well indoors and out: in the sandpit, on the lawn, or on the carpet with a crate of building blocks. The wide treaded tyres roll over grass and gravel as well, and the tractor is big enough to pick up with both hands.
A sturdy present for a child who would rather dig and load than race, and for a household that already has a farm set out.
