This 1963 Volkswagen Bus Pickup wears the colours of Groot from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: a brown body with a wood-grain pattern, a white front with green trim and a green roof, and 'I AM GROOT' in green lettering on the side of the load bed. It sits low on chrome rims, with chrome bumpers and headlights.
The model is built to 1:24 scale in die-cast metal. The doors and the bonnet open and the interior is detailed, so there is still something to look at once it is out of the box. A separate Groot figure comes with the vehicle, and like the car it is die-cast metal rather than plastic.
The box states the age as 8+. The model arrives in a display box with a window, which makes it ready to give as a gift or to put straight on a shelf.
For Guardians of the Galaxy fans and for anyone who collects classic Volkswagen buses: this one belongs on both shelves.
