Hot Wheels Color Shifters is a range of small 1:64 scale die-cast cars from the Hot Wheels City line, this one numbered 12 of 48. The car comes on a card featuring the familiar Hot Wheels flame and the "Color Shifters" logo, showing which model the pack may contain.
The special trick is in the coating: dip the car briefly in cold or warm water and its colour changes. Change the water temperature again and the original shade returns, so a single car can take on a different look each time.
Because this is an assortment, you won't know exactly which model you'll get in advance – each pack contains one of the range's models at random. The card measures roughly 16.4 x 13 x 4 cm and the whole thing weighs about 50 grams. The packaging carries an age indication of 3+.
A fun little gift for kids who already collect Hot Wheels cars or who enjoy toys with an extra element of surprise: race it first, then dip it in water and discover the colour change.
