This Kids Globe Traffic fire engine is done up the way a child sees one in the street here: red, with '112' on the cab and blue flashing lights on the roof. The blister card is bilingual, with BRANDWEER and POMPIERS. Ladders sit on the roof, and a hose reel and tools are moulded into the side lockers.
There are two ways to play with it. Pull it back a stretch across the floor and let go, and the pull-back motor sends it off forwards. Press it and the light and the sound come on, so the run comes with the racket it deserves. The doors open, which completes the turnout.
The vehicle comes from the Traffic range, in which Kids Globe puts out emergency and working vehicles. They combine well: a fire engine, an ambulance and a police car side by side on the rug make up a full response team.
The batteries are included, so there is nothing left to buy on the way to the party. A handy little present for a child who knows every siren in the street.
