Rastar recreates this Formula 1 car as the Ferrari F138, the car Scuderia Ferrari raced in the 2013 season. The model is 1:12 scale and carries the full livery of that year: Santander on the front wing, Kaspersky on the nose, Shell and UPS on the sidepods, Pirelli P Zero on the tyres, and a helmeted driver figure in the cockpit.
The transmitter is shaped like a steering wheel, with the Ferrari shield in the centre and the Rastar logo below it. The buttons drive it forward and backward and steer it left and right: the four basic functions, without further extras.
Both the car and the transmitter run on batteries, which are not included. According to Rastar, the model runs best on a flat surface, indoors or outdoors.
A gift for anyone who follows Formula 1 and would rather have an actual car on the floor than a fantasy model. The open wheels and wings make it recognisable, even for those who no longer remember the 2013 season by heart.
