Taiyo recreated the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2-door at 1:16 scale as a radio-controlled model in black. The car itself measures 27.5 × 16 × 14.5 cm, so it sits solidly on its chunky off-road tyres.
Steering is handled with a 2.4 GHz pistol-grip transmitter. The Jeep runs on a 3.7 V li-ion battery included in the box, which you recharge with the included USB charging system; the transmitter itself needs 2 AA batteries, which are not included.
Forward, reverse and turns left and right: enough to run a course down the hallway or crash around outside on the driveway. The open bodywork with roll bar and the seven slots in the grille make it recognisable as a Wrangler even standing still.
A gift for anyone who loves cars and wants to be the one steering. Just remember you'll need 2 AA batteries at home for the transmitter.
