This red Adriatic tractor has a dark-grey front loader with two arms and a wide bucket at the front, and pulls an open trailer with a sloping front wall. Tractor and trailer hook together with a drawbar.
That gives the game two sides: scooping at the front, hauling at the back. Blocks, toy animals or pine cones from the garden go into the bucket, ride along to the other side of the room and are unloaded there.
The vehicle is made in coloured plastic, with a cab with clear windows, an exhaust pipe beside the bonnet, a step up to the cab door and coarsely treaded tyres on silver-coloured rims. Adriatic is an Italian toy maker; the tyres have Made in Italy moulded into the rubber.
A gift for the child who stops to watch every digger and every tractor along the road.
