LEGO Architecture New York City (set 21028) is a 598-piece building set that lets you build the skyline of New York. The box contains everything for five recognisable landmarks: the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, One World Trade Center, the Flatiron Building and the Statue of Liberty, all placed together on a long base with a "New York City" nameplate.
The building itself is the heart of the set: layer by layer you stack up the distinctive towers, with details such as the spire of the Empire State Building and the openwork top of the Chrysler Building. Once finished, you're left with a compact model of the city that fits on a shelf or desk.
The set includes a booklet with background information about the buildings and the designer behind the series, so building it also teaches something about the architecture itself. The box states an age of 12+.
This set makes a nice gift for anyone who enjoys puzzling and building, for fans of New York, or for someone looking for a decorative building project to assemble themselves.
