LEGO Money Tree (40648) is a building set for assembling a decorative miniature money tree: a brown trunk with a green leafy crown, hung with orange "oranges", red hangers and gold coins. The tree stands in a red base with gold decoration and a small dish at its foot.
It's a building project for those who enjoy assembling a decorative object from LEGO pieces, not a play set for role-play. The set has 336 pieces and is intended for ages 9 and up.
Once built, the model stands on its own as a decorative piece, for example on a desk or windowsill. The red and gold colours and the money-tree shape make it a fitting gift around Chinese New Year, though it can stay on display all year round.
A nice gift for LEGO fans who, alongside play sets, also enjoy building atmospheric decoration.
