The LEGO Technic NASA Apollo Lunar Roving Vehicle - LRV (42182) is a 1,913-piece building set for adult builders. The model recreates the Apollo missions' moon buggy in detail, including the distinctive gold high-gain antenna, the antenna dish, the wheels and the American flags on the fenders.
The build itself is a pleasure: steering works via a lever between the seats, the seats fold down and the wheels can be folded up, just as they were on the real vehicle for transport. Alongside the rover, you also build three separate pieces of equipment, such as the battery pack and the communications unit.
The box states an age of 18 years and up, which matches the level of detail and build time of this set. The finished model is meant for display, not for play.
A great gift for anyone who loves space travel, LEGO Technic or NASA history, and an eye-catching centrepiece as a finished model on a shelf or desk.
