LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Interactive Mario (set 71439) is a building set from the LEGO Super Mario range. The box contains an interactive Mario figure with a screen and speaker, plus figures of Bowser Jr., Yoshi and a Goomba, along with three small buildable environments.
You build the course from the starting pipe to the finish flag: Mario greets Yoshi, defeats the Goomba, jumps on the question mark block and challenges Bowser Jr. on a wobbling platform to win his Junior Clown Car. Each time you build a new section of track or place Mario somewhere, he reacts with sound and a different expression on the screen on his belly.
The set has 218 pieces and is intended for ages 6 and up. The interactive Mario runs on batteries (not included); setting it up and updating it requires a smartphone or tablet with the LEGO Super Mario app.
With its recognisable characters and its system of coins and reactions, this is a fun gift for children who love Mario and building, especially combined with other sets from the LEGO Super Mario line.
