LEGO Super Mario - Baby Peach & Grand Prix Set (72036) is an 823-piece building set based on the Mario Kart theme, featuring the Baby Peach, Toad, Lakitu and Lemmy figures and three vehicles: the Wild Wiggler kart, the Landship and a motorbike. The karts have a mechanism that lets you launch a shell.
As you build, a full race circuit comes to life: a starting arch with a 'Mario Kart' billboard, a finish arch, cones, barrier tape and a winner's podium. Toad stands behind his pastry stall and Lakitu floats on his cloud above the track, complete with a banana peel obstacle on the course.
The set also includes a brick-built figure of Princess Peach and references to well-known characters from the Mario Kart games on the side of the box. The set is compatible with the interactive LEGO Super Mario figures (such as Mario, Luigi or Peach), which are sold separately and not included in the box. The packaging shows an age rating of 8+.
This is a fun gift for kids who love Mario Kart and enjoy building it themselves: assemble the race track, play through the characters' adventures, and combine the set with other LEGO Super Mario sets.
