This is the smallest BABY born: a doll of 18 centimetres with a plush body and a vinyl head. It wears a little suit with animal ears on the hood and embroidery on the tummy and on the feet.
Zapf made it deliberately for babies. The body is soft enough to lie against and small enough to grab hold of with two hands. The ears and the tail crackle when they are touched, and there are no batteries inside.
The doll comes in two versions, a brown bear and a pink rabbit, which are sold separately and arrive at random. The photograph shows the bear; which of the two ends up in your parcel is not settled in advance. Zapf releases the doll from birth.
It is hand washable, which is no needless luxury for a doll that regularly ends up in a mouth. A classic present for a new baby, and one of the few dolls small enough for the cot.
