Migoga Marble Run Maxi is the big marble run from the Italian manufacturer Quercetti. The box holds 213 pieces: straight and curved chutes, connectors, columns to gain height, spirals, funnels and turntables, plus the marbles themselves.
The parts click together, so a child builds upwards layer by layer and the marble then finds its own way down. If it gets stuck somewhere, a bend is moved or a column is raised. That trying, failing and adjusting is the real game.
Because the parts are not tied to one fixed design, the run looks different every time. An experienced builder stacks high and adds side branches; a beginner starts with a short straight descent and grows it from there.
The box says 6-14 years and Made in Italy. A present that swallows the first afternoon whole and that a child still invents a new run with months later.
