Camelot Jr. is a wooden brain teaser from SmartGames where you build your own castle: towers, wall pieces, stairs and a bridge in cheerful colours, with a wooden knight and a wooden princess as playing figures.
Using a challenge card, you place the pieces in the right order so that a continuous path is formed, letting the knight climb all the way to the top to find the princess. The game is for 1 player and includes 48 challenges, built up from starter to expert and master, so a child can keep using it for years.
The box states an age of 4 years and up. It's a puzzle to play alone, without time pressure, and playfully teaches children planning and spatial thinking as they combine the building pieces.
A nice gift for a young child just starting out with puzzles, and thanks to the increasing difficulty, the game stays interesting well beyond that.
