Bandits have stolen the gold of Mountain Valley and hidden the nuggets in the luggage of the train passengers. Together with your friends you chase the train to get back as much gold as you can. Kids Express was designed by Christophe Raimbault and Cédric Lefebvre, illustrated by Jordi Valbuena and published by Ludonaute; it is set in the same world as Colt Express.
On your turn you do two things. First you move your child figure, or you let Sam fire his catapult. Then you take a luggage token from the spot where you are standing and carry out what it shows. The game ends as soon as one of the luggage stacks runs out; you win together if you have collected more gold nuggets than the bandits.
The box holds a locomotive, three wagons, a stagecoach, a board with Sam on his horse, three catapult projectiles, four child figures, four bandits, four player aid tiles and 37 luggage tokens. The train is set up in 3D on the table.
For 1 to 4 players from 5 years, with games of around fifteen minutes. Because everyone plays together, nobody loses on their own - handy with young players, and the game also works solo.
