Operation Refresh is the updated version of Hasbro Gaming's well-known surgery game. The box doubles as a carry case, complete with a handle so everything travels together. Inside you'll find the game board with patient Sam, a pair of tweezers, 12 plastic ailment pieces with elastic bands, a storage pouch, 12 cards and the rules.
Players take turns drawing a card and use the tweezers to lift the indicated ailment out of Sam without touching the metal edge. Touch the edge and the buzzer sounds while Sam's nose lights up. Whoever manages it without setting off the buzzer earns the amount of money shown on the card. There are two ways to play: the classic Hospital mode or the faster Emergency mode against the clock.
The case measures 26.7 x 26.7 x 4.1 cm and weighs 0.67 kg. The game is suitable from 6 years and plays with 1 to 4 people. Three AA batteries are needed for the buzzer and Sam's nose light; these are not included in the box.
Thanks to its handy case, Operation Refresh is just as much fun at home as on the go, and it remains a great gift for children who enjoy playing doctor with friends or family.
