Destins - Le Jeu de la Vie by Hasbro Gaming is the French-language edition of the classic life game. The box contains the board with its winding life path, the wheel of fate marked "Tournez la roue pour gagner!", pawns with coloured hair, cars to seat the pawns in, and play money.
Each player picks a car, seats their pawns in it, and drives around the board past signposts such as "études" and "travail". On your turn you spin the wheel to move ahead and make decisions: keep studying or start working, get married, have children, buy a house. The wheel and the choices you make together decide how your life path unfolds.
The game is made for 2 to 4 players from 8 years, as stated on the box, and a round takes roughly half an hour to an hour. The colourful pawns and the spinning wheel make it easy to follow, while the choices along the way keep it engaging for older children and adults too.
This makes Destins - Le Jeu de la Vie a fun pick for a family game night: a familiar, light-hearted board game where chance and choice together decide the winner.
