Under the bed sleeps a blue monster with its tongue rolled out, and on it lie the toys it has just gulped down. The box holds the monster, 12 toys - 3 little cars, 3 planes, 3 bears and 3 ducks - 24 cards and the rules.
You turn over a card and it tells you which toy to take off the tongue. Being quick helps, but pulling too wildly does not: the monster can snap shut at any moment and then the toy is gone. Whoever has rescued the most toys at the end wins. A round is over in a quarter of an hour.
The box states 2 to 6 players from 4 years. The monster needs 3 AAA batteries (LR03); they are not in the box, so have them ready if the game is a present that has to be opened straight away.
A word on the language: this is the French edition. The box, the cards and the rules are in French. Most of the play is carried by pictures, but anyone expecting a box in their own language will be disappointed.
