Sequence is a card game and a board game in one. The box holds the board, 104 Sequence cards, 135 chips in three colours and the rules.
You play a card from your hand in turn and put a chip on the square showing that same card on the board. The first player to get two rows of five chips in the same colour on the board, horizontally, vertically or diagonally, wins the game.
Because you have to watch what your opponent is up to as closely as what you are working towards yourself, children and adults really do play together here. With 2 to 12 players you can also line up in teams; a game takes about twenty minutes. The box says 7+.
A fixture in the games cupboard, and a safe choice as a present for a family that likes sitting down at the table together.
