Triominos is the triangular cousin of dominoes and has been a fixture at Goliath for decades. This triangular box holds 56 tiles, 4 racks to stand your tiles up in and the rules.
Every tile carries a number in each corner. In turn you lay a tile that matches two numbers at once against what is already on the table. Form certain shapes along the way and you take extra points. The round stops as soon as someone has played their rack empty, and whoever has the most points then wins.
The box reads AGE 6+ and 2-4 PLAYERS. A game runs about half an hour: short enough for a weekday evening, long enough to really get into it. Since all you do is match numbers, a six-year-old keeps up with adults easily.
A classic worth having in the house for holidays, birthdays and rainy Sundays, and one of the few games that keeps three generations at the same table.
