The VTech My Interactive Video Microscope is a children's microscope with a 2.4-inch colour LCD screen that shows everything in real time. The device magnifies objects up to 200 times and comes with 9 double-sided Smart Slides covering topics such as flowers, food, cells, crawling animals and facial features.
Children slide a Smart Slide under the lens to see educational BBC videos and facts about the subject. Using the two blank slides or the sample tray, they can also examine their own found objects, and the cursor key lets them zoom in on different parts of an object.
Up to 100 photos of the viewed objects can be taken and stored; memory can be expanded with a micro-SD card (not included). It also comes with 4 microscope games, in which children feed, protect or cure cells and micro-organisms, or test their knowledge in a quiz. The device runs on 4 AA batteries.
Suitable from 7 years, this is a fun gift for curious children who love exploring the micro world of plants, animals and materials on their own.
