The VTech Kidizoom Snap Touch is a toy camera shaped like a smartphone, with a 2.4-inch colour touchscreen and buttons for photo and video. The screen shows icons for Camera, Video Camera, Silly Videos, Music Player, Photo Editor and Calendar, and the device has both a front camera for selfies and a rear camera.
A child can take photos and short films, edit them with the photo editor, record sound through the microphone, and listen to music through the headphone jack. Over Bluetooth, the device can exchange photos, messages or animations with another Kidizoom Snap Touch, and it also has built-in games.
The device weighs 0.29 kg, charges via USB, and has a slot for a microSD card to store extra photos and videos. This version is blue with a geometric turquoise pattern on the back.
From 6 years, this is a fun gift for a child who likes taking, recording and sharing their own photos and films, in a sturdy casing that can take a knock.
