The largest of the three JOVI Maxi boxes: twenty-four thick felt-tips side by side behind a window, running from yellow and orange through pink and blue to several shades of green, brown, grey and black.
With twenty-four pens a child no longer has to choose between green and green — there is a light one and a dark one next to each other. For a drawing with a lot of the same thing in it, a wood or a sea or a crowd, that genuinely makes a difference.
The nib is thick and blocked, so it does not sink into the barrel when pressed on hard, and the line is 5.8 mm wide. The ink is washable and, according to the packaging, the pen can lie without its cap for 96 hours. The box says 3+.
This size is made for sharing: one box does a table full of children at a birthday party, or a craft cupboard that has to last a school year.
