Ravensburger Painting by Numbers - On the Ice is a paint set from the Classic range, featuring a pre-printed canvas of a snowy polar landscape: a polar bear with cub, a reindeer, a walrus, a seal pup, an arctic fox and, further out, an orca and a whale's tail above the water. The outlines of each area are already printed in colour, which makes the painting more straightforward than with classic paint-by-numbers sets.
The box contains the canvas, 20 water-based acrylic paint colours, a brush and a matching frame for displaying the finished piece afterwards. Each numbered section takes its matching paint colour, so the full scene comes to life step by step.
It's calm, focused work: filling in one area after another until the complete polar scene appears. The box of this set measures 33.5 x 23.4 x 3.7 cm and weighs 0.58 kg. The packaging states an age of 11+.
A nice gift for anyone who enjoys being creative and loves animals and winter landscapes, and it's ready to hang on the wall, framed, once painted.
