This set from the Play-Doh Kitchen Creations range is built around a blender made of toy. There is no motor in it: you fill the jug, push the plunger down and the dough comes out underneath in coloured swirls, as though the smoothie were being poured.
The box holds the blender with jug and lid, the plunger that presses the dough through, a mould tray, two cups and a small spoon. With them come five pots of Play-Doh: two of 57 g and three of 28 g, 198 g in all.
Children first press strawberries, bananas, raspberries and ice cubes out of the moulds, drop them into the jug and then squeeze out a cupful. Afterwards it all goes back into the pots and it can start again, in a different mix of colours.
The box says 3+. A fine present for a child who likes to join in with whatever the grown-ups are doing in the kitchen.
