A box of eight pots of Play-Doh, the Hasbro modelling clay that has sat in the same yellow pots with coloured lids for decades. The box gives the total weight of clay: 680 grams.
What a child does with it never changes: roll it, flatten it, cut shapes out of it, knead it back into a ball. With eight colours at once there is room to mix and to layer without running out of a colour halfway.
The box is supplied in more than one colour selection. The photograph shows two of them side by side: a rainbow selection and a second set with brighter shades. Which of the two you receive is not fixed. Both boxes carry the age marking '2+'.
A stock box, in other words: to top up what has dried out or ended up as one brown ball, or to give as a first clay set.
