The Ravensburger Wooden Puzzle Under the Sea is a contour puzzle of 500 sturdy, irregularly shaped wooden pieces. The colourful design shows an underwater world with whales, an orca, a sea turtle, an octopus, and, hidden among the coral, a number of whimsies: small wooden figures that match the picture.
You lay the pieces out on a table and work out by colour and shape which pieces belong together, until the complete image of 40 x 27 cm appears. Each piece is individually designed and laser-cut, so no two pieces are exactly the same shape.
The puzzle has 500 pieces and is intended for puzzlers aged 14 and up, per the manufacturer. The box, measuring 22.2 x 22.2 x 6.8 cm, doubles as an attractive storage box for the finished puzzle.
