The Museum Collection is the range in which Clementoni releases works from the great museums as puzzles. This box holds Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, the portrait that hangs in the Louvre, divided over 1000 pieces.
Easy it is not, and that is the point. Much of the painting consists of browns, olive greens and dark tones that run into one another: the face and the hands go quickly, but the robe, the mountain landscape with its river in the background and above all the dark edges take patience and a great deal of trying pieces.
Assembled, the puzzle measures 69 × 50 cm. That is big enough to occupy a dining table for several evenings, and also a size you can have framed if you would rather not break it up again.
A puzzle for someone with experience who takes the time for it, and therefore a dependable gift for anyone who loves art or has been to the Louvre.
