Clementoni's Colorboom Collection is all about colour, and this Collage is the clearest example of it. The image is made up of hundreds of tiny photographs - flowers, fabrics, plants, everyday objects - laid side by side in a gradient from green and yellow, through orange and red, to purple and blue.
That makes assembling it different from a landscape or a cityscape. You are not looking for recognisable shapes but for nuances: just that shade darker red, just that other green. If you like a puzzle with some bite, this is for you; if you would rather sort calmly, start at the bands of colour and work from the outside in.
The box holds 1000 pieces. Assembled, the puzzle measures 69 × 50 cm, big enough for the dining table and, if you want, to frame afterwards.
A nice gift for a puzzler who has had enough of the usual scenes and fancies something that has to be solved on colour alone.
