This set from the MUSIC range gathers four ways of making a noise into one pack. The drum is the largest piece; the maracas, the tambourine and the two sticks sit on top of it under a clear blister.
Each instrument asks for a different movement and gives a different sound. The drum you beat with both hands or with the sticks, the maracas you shake in short jerks, the tambourine you tap against your knee or swing to and fro. With two or three children it turns into a parade down the hall inside a minute.
Everything is moulded in coloured plastic and light enough for a child to carry. The maracas and the sticks have child-sized handles, and the tambourine has jingles all round the rim.
A classic birthday present for a child who likes making a racket at home. And yes: it really does make a racket.
