Perroquet is the name Kim'Play printed on this bag, and the marbles live up to it: bands of blue, red, yellow, orange and green run through each clear glass ball, like the plumage of the macaw on the card. The bag holds 21 marbles - 20 of 16 mm and one large one of 25 mm.
Marbles need no pitch and no batteries. A hollow in the sand, a gap between two paving stones or a chalk line is enough, and then it is a matter of aiming with the thumb. You shoot with the large 25 mm marble; that is the shooter, and it is not given away lightly.
Because the marbles are glass they roll heavy and straight, and the colours sit inside the glass rather than on top of it. The bag has an octagonal header card with a hanging hole.
A cheap present that nearly always lands: marbles go to school, get swapped and get topped up, and these 21 are enough for a proper start.
