This globe from Braet measures 25 cm across and hangs in a bracket on a black base. With the light off it is an ordinary political world map: every country in its own colour, with the names printed on.
Switch the bulb on and the globe changes face. The constellations appear across the whole surface, the stars joined by fine lines and the figures drawn around them. By day you look up where a country lies, in the evening where the constellations stand.
The globe turns on its axis in the bracket, so you can set it rolling with a finger. It runs on mains power at 220-240 V with an E14 bulb of at most 2 watts. The box states 7+.
A present for a child who likes looking things up, and a soft point of light on the desk or the bookshelf into the bargain.
