Leaves still floating you can fish out; leaves that have sunk have to be vacuumed off the floor. The Skimbi catches them while they are still on top. It hangs on the edge, rides up and down with the water level and draws in surface water for as long as your filter pump is running.
In the box are the skimmer tube with float chamber and removable basket, a bracket set with parts for two kinds of pool edge, a flexible hose and five hose adapters. The bracket fixes it to a pool with an inflatable ring or to the top rail of a frame pool; the adapters fit the common connections of Intex, Bestway and Summer Escapes among others.
The hose goes onto the pool's water outlet, in the place of the existing strainer. Kokido gives a working range of 3 to 15 cubic metres per hour for the filter pump. The basket lifts out of the tube together with the chamber, and you tip it out and rinse it off.
For anyone whose above-ground pool stands under a tree or a hedge and who has had enough of skimming it by hand.
