The Retro Fashion beach ball by Bestway is a good size bigger than the ordinary beach ball: inflated it measures 122 cm across. The panels are printed in nineties style, with pink areas full of dots, yellow bands and lemons on mint green.
That size changes the game. The ball is too big to catch with one hand, so throwing it about becomes something children and adults do together, in the water or on the grass.
The ball is made of PVC and is supplied flat. You inflate it through the valve and let it down again the same way; folded up it fits in a beach bag, which helps when the car is already full.
A rewarding summer present: big enough to make an impression when it is unwrapped and small enough to put away again after the holiday.
