Kokido built the Telsa 5 for the owner of a spa, an above-ground pool or a small basin, and for anyone who only wants to touch up a dirty patch in a larger pool. The unit is white with a turquoise head and light enough to work with one hand.
Inside is a rechargeable battery that you top up with a USB charging cable. The vacuum switches itself on as soon as it is completely under water, so there is nothing to plug in beside the pool. The suction is gentle and meant for loose debris - sand, leaves, grit - not for a floor that has sat untouched for a whole season.
The head tilts to follow the floor and has bristles underneath that loosen dirt that has settled. What it picks up stays in the filter behind the clear cap, so you can see from the outside when it is full; the cap twists off to empty and rinse the filter.
The handle has a fitting for a telescopic pole, which lets you reach the middle of the floor without getting into the water yourself.
