A pH meter in pen form. You unscrew the cap from the electrode, hold the tip in the water and read the value off the LCD display in the side. No test strips, no tablets, and no colour chart to misread.
The pH value is the measurement you need most often with pool and spa water. With a meter that fits in the cupboard by the pump, you take it in a few seconds and as often as you like, instead of once a week with a test kit.
The measuring range runs from 0.0 to 14.0 pH. The pack holds two buffer solutions, pH 4.00 and pH 6.86, with which you readjust the meter when it starts to drift, a small screwdriver for that adjustment, and a case to keep everything together in.
Rinse the electrode with clean water before and after each use and store it dry. That is the maintenance, and it is also what determines how long a meter like this lasts.
