If you have a rectangular pool of 5.49 by 2.74 metres, this is the size Didak Pool makes for it. That is how it appears on the box: 'fit rectangular pool', 5.49 x 2.74 m, next to the heading 'Solar Pool Cover'.
The cover itself measures 511 by 242 cm. That is deliberately somewhat smaller than the pool: a solar cover is always a little smaller than the water surface. It leaves the film lying loose on the water instead of riding up against the wall.
Didak calls it insulating bubble film: blue film with small air pockets that catch the sun and pass the heat on to the water. The packaging shows this in a drawing, with a sun and arrows through the water surface. The English name on the box is 'floating solar pool cover'.
Lay the cover on the water when nobody is swimming and take it off again before going in; nothing needs fastening. What you buy here is the cover, not the pool.
